A life-changing event

* Disclaimer: No assumptions please. I am a hopeless romantic and love to weave tales triggered by real life. The inspiration for this story was my birthday that just went by.

She was caught off-guard.

It was her birthday. She was not really expecting something life changing. Maybe an Armani watch, and/or a birthday card, maybe some flowers.

A huge bouquet of 60 Dutch Roses and authentic Lilies adorned her center table, along with a hugggggge greeting card.

And she smiled. She knew something is still not revealed.

And he just announced!!

A life changing declaration!

For her, it meant promise, dignity, respect, hope and sophistication. For him, the definition of life itself.

“Let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.

For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together, yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.” ~ Kahlil Gibran
